Alpha & Omega

These are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet; Alpha also represents the number 1. Jesus Christ calls himself "the Alpha and the Omega" three times in Revelation (Rev 1:8; 21:6; 22:13). He is the origin of everything, who has always been there in eternity past. As in other passages of Scripture, God thus testifies to his eternal existence.
