Blessing

A blessing is something good, in the Old Testament, usually associated with possessions, prosperity, and health, and is usually pronounced over someone. In principle, the lesser is blessed by the better (Heb. 7:7). In the New Testament, blessing is not material but immaterial. For the believer is blessed by God "with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Eph 1:3).
