Censer

A small metal vessel (originally made of copper, later also of gold), which was used to transport the burning coals from the altar of burnt offering (including incense) to the altar of incense (cf. 3. Deut 16:11, 12), but also for offering incense and for emitting the fragrance that rises from it (cf. Deut 17:11, 12)
