Christ

A title of the Lord Jesus, which is also used as an epithet; Messiah (Hebrew) and Christ (Greek) mean "anointed one". The title refers to the fact that Jesus is the Savior announced in the Old Testament. As a human being, he was not anointed with oil (like kings) but with the Holy Spirit. With the exception of 3 John, the title is used in all New Testament books, whereby its various facets are presented.
