Dispensation

A dispensation is a specific time of human history that has its own rules and in which God reveals Himself in a particular way. Seven different dispensations can be distinguished (from the time of innocence to the 1000-year kingdom). The present household is characterized by the church and the knowledge of God as Father. For a good understanding of the Bible, it is important to distinguish between the different households if we do not want to come to wrong conclusions (e.g., by applying Jewish commandments to Christians).
