Feast of the Firstfruits

On the first Sunday after the Passover, which symbolically refers to the death of our Savior Jesus Christ, Israel had to bring a bundle of grain from the first grain harvested that year before God. This "sheaf" of the "firstfruits" points to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, who died as the true grain of wheat and rose from the dead. As the Risen One from the dead, He is the firstfruits of a new "harvest" that He brought forth through His death (John 12:24; 1 Corinthians 15:20, 23).
