Feast of the Rededication

A Jewish festival that was not originally ordained by God (cf. Lev 23) but was introduced by Judas Maccabeus (190-160 BC) when the temple was rededicated after being desecrated by Antiochus Ephiphanes (predicted in Dan 11:31). It is only mentioned once in the NT (John 10:22).
