Feast of weeks

Fifty days or seven weeks (hence the name of the feast) after the feast of the firstfruits, a "new" grain offering consisting of two "loaves" had to be brought (Lev 23:17). They symbolically point to something "new" that came into being 50 days after the resurrection of the Lord Jesus on the day of Pentecost: the assembly of God, which was made up of two groups of people: People who came from Judaism and people from the Gentiles (cf. Eph 2:15, 16).
