Firstborn

The firstborn refers to the birth order and a special position of precedence. He received a double inheritance and had a special position of precedence. The term firstborn is also used independently of the birth order for a special position of precedence (see the title of the Lord: firstborn of many brothers, of the creation, of the dead and the dead (Ex 13:25; De 21:17; 33:17; 1 Chron 5:1; Ps 89:28; Rom 8:29; Col 1:15; Col 1:18; Rev 1:5).
