Grace

To the one who earns something through performance, the reward is not according to grace but according to debt (Rom. 4:4). Grace is a favor that is not given by merit and not according to righteousness. One of God's characteristics is grace (1 Peter 5:10). Salvation is based on grace alone (Rom. 3:24; Eph. 2:8). Grace constitutes the stream of blessing that is available to the believer on a daily basis (2 Cor. 9:8; Heb. 4:16).
