Greek

Unlike Hellenists (Greek-speaking Jews; Acts 6:1; 9:29), Greeks, in the narrow sense of the word, come from Greece and have at least one Greek parent (Acts 16:3 in connection with Gal 2:3). In a broader sense, the term Greek also seems to be used for the nations in general, i.e., for all non-Jews. In Romans (Rom. 1, 6), Paul uses the term "Jew and Greek" to describe, for example, the scope of the gospel (see also Gal. 3:28).
