Holiness

It generally denotes something separate from the ordinary or even evil. Holiness is, above all, an attribute of God; He is glorious in holiness, He sits on his throne of holiness, and He speaks in and swears by his holiness. Through Jesus Christ, believers in the New Testament possess holiness (by position), but they are also called upon to pursue holiness in their practical lives.
