Idol

Idol worship is antithetical to worship, having as its content an object that robs God of the glory that belongs to Him. Idols can be material, but also spiritual things, such as greed (Col. 3:5). Idolatry characterizes a person without God. We as Christians are also warned against idolatry (1Co 10:14); it is a work of the flesh (Gal 5:20), is evil (1 Pet 4:3), and the destination of idolaters is hell (Rev 22:15).
