Justification

An act that God performs on guilty people who were under his judgment of condemnation. God declares people who believe in the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus to be righteous. This means that He puts them in the position of the righteous because He sees them in the value of this sacrifice. The accusation against them was based on their guilt and the reason why they deserved the sentence of condemnation, which God carried out in the Lord Jesus. He imputes His death to the believer as having happened on his behalf. That is why God declares him righteous.
