Meal offering

An unbloody sacrifice that the Israelites could offer to God as a voluntary sacrifice. It consisted mainly of fine flour and oil and was smoked with incense on the altar as a sacrifice that pleased God. It was often offered in conjunction with a burnt offering. In contrast to the bloody sacrifices, the grain offering speaks of the perfect life of the Lord Jesus as a man on earth, of His consecration to God, which He demonstrated in it.
