Mount of Olives

800 m high mountain northeast of Jerusalem, separated by the Kidron Valley. From there, Jesus ascended to heaven, and He will also appear there when He returns in order to establish the Millennium. Jesus was also repeatedly at this place during his life. In the Old Testament, the name only appears in the prophet Zechariah (Zech 14:4), but the mountain itself is mentioned under other names (e.g., "mountain that is to the east of the city").
