Nazirite

The term "Nazir" or "Nazarite" (Amos 2:11, 12) means one who is set apart or consecrated. He was prepared to live completely for God and consecrate himself to Him in a way that went beyond the law. He did this with voluntary obligations that were associated with certain restrictions for himself. Gen 6 describes these obligations in detail.
