New man

The new man (not to be confused with the new nature) is the counterpart to the old man. It is mentioned three times in the New Testament (Eph 2:15; Eph 4:24; Col 3:10). After our conversion, God no longer sees us as responsible sinners, but we are "in Christ," i.e., He becomes visible in us (personally and collectively). The new man was created after Christ rose from the dead and the Holy Spirit took up residence in us.
