Trinity

Trinity means that the three persons of the Godhead – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – are distinct from one another but are nevertheless one God. It was already known in the Old Testament that God is one (Deut. 6:4). But it is only in the New Testament that the three Persons of the Godhead are explicitly mentioned – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (e.g., Mt 28:19). What the Trinity contains is beyond human comprehension. Such a trinity does not exist again in the entire universe.
