Christ in the Epistle to the Philippians

Published since 09. Feb. 2025
Bible passages:
Phil 1:21; 2:5; 3:14; 4:13

"For me, to live is Christ." (Phil 1:21)
"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." (Phil 2:5)
"I press toward the goal." (Phil 3:14)
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me." (Phil 4:13)

Paul is (once again) in prison. Because the believers from Philippi are close to his heart, he writes them a letter. When we read it almost 2,000 years later, we can clearly sense how the Lord Jesus filled Paul's heart, even (or especially) in this prison.

Chapter 1: Christ - the purpose of life: "For me, to live is Christ." (Phil 1:21)

Chapter 2: Christ - the model of life: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." (Phil 2:5)

Chapter 3: Christ - the goal of life: "I press toward the goal." (Phil 3:14)

Chapter 4: Christ - the strength of life: "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." (Phil 4:13)

Does Christ fill our hearts in the same way?
