This verse mentions three different groups.
The first group belongs to the bride of Christ, and the Spirit of God can bring about the right affections for the bridegroom. They cry out together: “Come, Lord Jesus!”
The people in the second group belong to the bride of Christ, but they do not long for the bridegroom. They are called upon individually to join in the great call of the Church of God: “Come, Lord Jesus!”
The people in the third group do not belong to the bride of Christ because they have not yet believed in the gospel. They are called out to: “Come to the Lord Jesus and quench the thirst of your soul.”
If we have dealt a little with the glory of Christ in this book, it should echo in our hearts so we desire more to be with the one who loves us and has washed us clean from our sins in his blood. At the same time, we want to be motivated to point others to Christ and his love.
