New Strength

30Though youths grow weary and tired,

And vigorous young men stumble badly,

31Yet those who wait for the Lord

Will gain new strength;

They will mount up with wings like eagles,

They will run and not get tired,

They will walk and not become weary.

New Strength

“Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary” (Isaiah 40:30, 31).

When Strength Fails

Even young men can:

• grow tired in the gray routine of everyday life,
• grow weary when running fast, and
• fall down at some point.

When New Strength Comes

But new strength comes from waiting for the One.
He Himself does not grow weary or tired (Isaiah 40:28).

This strength shows itself in three things.
They follow, in reverse order, what was shown before:

• believers mount up with wings like eagles,
• they run again and do not get tired, and
• they keep walking and do not become weary.

Through God’s power, your life will move upward and forward again!
